Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

A family member told me to get Bees forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
