Additional England-based Selections

  • Tottenham playmaker Lucas Bergvall, who is recovering after a head knock
  • Magpies wide player the Swedish international

Both athletes were included in the England-based players named by former Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham manager Graham Potter

Potter's Appointment

Potter was appointed the Swedish federation first on a short-term basis in late October, under a month after leaving from the Hammers

Previous coach the Danish coach lost his job following the national team's 1-0 loss against Kosovo in mid-October, a result which rendered straight qualification from their World Cup group impossible
